Blizzard of 2015

We’ve been hoping we could get at least one big snow before this winter ended, and we finally got our wish! In fact, the area was hit with a blizzard that is being called one of the fifth largest ever! We ended up with about 19 inches of snow on the ground, according to weather reports.
We are super happy because the kids have been wanting to build a snow run off of our deck. They were able to get a good start on it Sunday, and with a day off school today, they are hoping to make more progress.
My husband and I have been looking forward to going on a snow walk on the unplowed trail behind our house. This turned out to be more difficult than we imagined! We took a lap around the trail after church on Sunday, and found that hiking through 10 inches of snow (about what we had at that time) is a ton of work. By the time we had walked less than a mile, we felt like we had walked about four.
We got our snow, and now we’re happy. Bring on spring!
