Nothing says summer like baseball

The #1 item on Matthew’s summer bucket list has been to organize a baseball game with all of his friends. It’s always so hard to work around summer vacations, so I didn’t have high hopes that I would be able to get together a large enough group to play. But I must have picked the perfect day!
We had 13 boys come over for the morning (one was a little late and didn’t make the group photo). The boys played with tennis balls to even things up for some of the younger kids. It was a fun morning, not only for the boys, but for all the moms and daughters who got to hang out during the game. The highlight for me was watching one of the youngest boys in the group hit a home run for the very last at-bat of the game. Hooray for Ben!!
