Skin Deep

During the last year, I’ve been blessed to get to know my friend, Joy. I only learned recently that three years ago, she went through an incredible journey with skin cancer. She had six surgeries, including a complete facial reconstruction, to battle an aggressive form of cancer that begin with just a tiny spot on her nose.

May is skin cancer awareness month, so she asked me if I could help share her story. My son, Andrew, and I shot the film, and my husband, Kent, helped with the drone footage. Please watch her story and share to help increase awareness about skin cancer! #myskincancerjourney

Everyone has a story, and we were thankful to be part of sharing this one! The phrase, “beauty is only skin deep” took on new meaning during Joy’s amazing journey.
